KARACHI, Nov 10: The adviser to Sindh chief minister on local government, Wasim Akhtar, on Thursday exhorted the nazims of the city, towns and union councils to undertake development projects with mutual cooperation and consultations so as to make them more effective and successful.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a 6-inch pipeline laid in Landhi’s Quaidabad and Khuldabad, he said that though schools, colleges, bridges and flyovers would be set up keeping in view their requirement, water and sewerage improvement system was being carried out on utmost priority.

Mr Akhtar said that efforts were afoot to help provide basic facilities to the people on priority and all those localities which were ignored in the past would be provided sufficient funds

for development plans so that they were brought at par with other developed areas of the city.

Emphasizing the need for undertaking development activities in the city and in the entire province in a planned manner and after seeking suggestions from the public, he urged the people to actively participate in the development activities by sending their suggestions in this regard to the city nazim and the nazims of their respective areas.

The adviser assured the residents of Khuldabad that the present city government would leave no stone unturned in resolving their lingering issues.
