ISLAMABAD: Three more deaths from Covid-19 and 97 new cases were reported in the capital on Tuesday.
Officials of the capital administration said two males in the age group of 70-79 and a female in the age group of 80-89 succumbed to the virus. Two of them were residents of Sohan and the third was from I-10.
During the last 24 hours, 3,929 tests were conducted in the capital out of which 50 males and 47 females tested positive with 2.46pc positivity rate.
The officials said 21 cases each were reported in the age group of 20-29 and 30-39, followed by 12 in 50-59, 11 in 10-19, 10 in 40-49, eight in 60-69, seven in 0-9, six in 70-79 and one in 80 and above.
Likewise, eight cases were reported from I-8 followed by six each from G-10, Chak Shahzad and Alipur, five from F-8, four each from Lohi Bher and G-9, three each from Rawat, F-11, G-8 and Koral, two each from Bhara Kahu, I-10, G-7, I-9, E-11, Khanna, Sohan, F-7, G-5, Kurri, and one each from Tarlai, G-11, G-6, G-15, and D-12.
On Tuesday, the capital had 2191 active cases and 121 of them were admitted in hospitals.
Rawalpindi
As many as 45 people tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday in Rawalpindi district and 71 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery during the last 24 hours.
As per data shared by the District Health Authority, the positivity ratio of Covid-19 cases in the district dropped to 4.1pc. A total of 1,094 samples were collected out of which 1,049 were declared negative.
In Rawalpindi district, there are 726 active patients. As many as 127 patients are in hospitals including 53 who arrived from other districts and 599 patients are home isolated.
As many as 13 patients arrived from cantonment areas, four from Potohar Town and 10 from Rawal Town, four from Gujar Khan, two each from Kahuta, Kallar Syedan and Murree while six patients arrived from Taxila. Two patients arrived from Islamabad and one patient each came from Chakwal, Jhelum, Nankana Sahib and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
