QUETTA: Hundreds of male and female students, who appeared in the recently-conducted online entry test for admission to Bolan Medical College, took out a procession and staged a sit-in on Thursday to protest against alleged irregularities committed in the test organised by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
The students gathered near the Red Zone area carrying placards and banners inscribed with their demands. They chanted slogans against the PMC and the government.
The protesting students were not allowed to continue their protest near the Red Zone by the government as it deployed a heavy contingent of police and personnel of Balochistan Reserve Police who blocked roads leading to Red Zone.
The students later gathered in front of the Quetta Press Club and staged a sit-in under the auspices of Entry Test Students Action Committee and different student organisations.
