Land dispute claims three lives in Mohmand

MOHMAND: Three persons were killed and two others critically injured in a clash over land dispute in Babikhel Matin Kor area of Haleemzai tehsil here on Sunday.

According to the local police and residents, Rasool Khan and Zewar Shah groups had a dispute over a piece of land for the last three years.

On Sunday, both sides opened fire on each other and as a result Rasool Khan, son of Khaista Gul, and Ibrahim, son of Rasool Khan of Babikhel, were killed from one side, while Zewar Shah of Matin Kore was killed and Sadeeq, son of Rasool Khan, and Irshad, son of Zewar Shah, were injured from the other side.

The injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital, Ghalanai. Police officials rushed to the spot after the incident and have started investigations.
