QUETTA: Speakers at a seminar have called for modernising food production in the country so that increasing needs of food items could be met.
The call came at the seminar organised by the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) the other day. The speakers said that in order to meet food security and other needs of the country it is imperative to modernise fisheries, agriculture, livestock, industry and trade and mining sectors.
The chief executive officer of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade, Saeed Sarparah, said that in order to meet nutritional needs of increasing population Pakistan should adopt modern methods in fisheries, agriculture and livestock sectors.
