LAHORE: Primary and secondary healthcare department Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch said on Wednesday the province-wide vaccination campaign was being run successfully.

He said special SOPs had been issued for various sectors in view of the growing cases of the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, during the last 24 hours, 1,955 Covid cases were reported across the province. So far, the total number of cases has reached 406,961. Besides, 367,689 patients have fully recovered.

As per official figures, in the last 24 hours, one Covid death was recorded in Lahore, out of the 22 reported in Punjab, while the total number of such deaths has reached 12,116.

The overall positivity rate of the virus was recorded at 8.2pc in all the cities across the province, while in the provincial capital it was 11pc. In Rawalpindi the ratio was 15pc, Faisalabad 8pc, Multan 7pc and in Gujranwala it was 5pc.
