TAXILA: A young man committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan in his house located in Wesa Kamalpur.

The incident happened in the jurisdiction of Hazro police station on Sunday.

Quoting family members of the deceased, the police said 25-year-old Zeeshan Anjum had been in distress due to some domestic dispute.

As a result, he locked himself in his room and hanged himself.

In the second incident, the body of a 27-year-old man was found along Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) near Chach interchange.

Police sources said a passerby spotted the body and informed police, who rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Shahid, a resident of Bajaur.

Police registered two separate cases and started further investigation.

Furthermore, a schoolteacher was abducted from the jurisdiction of Wah Saddar police station.

Ahmed Ali reported to police that his wife left home on Saturday and did not return as she was abducted by unknown people.

Meanwhile, Taxila police registered a case against a waiter for allegedly beating up two women to objected to his eve-teasing.
