Pakistan has reported more than 100 Covid-19 deaths for a second straight day with 101 fatalities reported during the last 24 hours. On August 30, the country had reported 118 deaths from the coronavirus.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 53,637 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours and 3,559 came back positive. The total number of cases has risen to 1,163,688 and the death toll is 25,889.

The country's positivity rate is 6.63 per cent.

Punjab reported the highest number of deaths during the last 24 hours with 39 fatalities, followed by 35 in Sindh.

  • Punjab: 1,602 cases, 39 deaths
  • Sindh: 991 cases, 35 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 549 cases, 25 deaths
  • Islamabad: 253 cases
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 133 cases, 1 death
  • Balochistan: 18 cases, 1 death
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 13 cases
