Poisonous food; another child dies

LAHORE, Nov 3: Another resident of Sodiwal died of food poisoning at the Mayo Hospital here on Thursday. Fayyaz, 12, and his sister, Mahaq, 6, and 10 other children fell unconscious after eating poisonous ‘kheer’ on Wednesday. Mahaq died on Wednesday while Fayyaz had died on Thursday.

According to police, an unidentified man had handed over a plate of kheer to a child of Qadeeruddin, an embroider, outside his house.

They said the children of three families gathered there had eaten the kheer which was poisonous.

ACCIDENT: An unidentified man was killed in an accident on Shahdara Morr on Thursday.

The man, 40, was crossing the road when a tractor-trolley hit and killed him.
