BAHAWALPUR: Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi, the last legal heir of late Nawab of Bahawalpur Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi, has approached the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) with a request to hold a probe into uploading of a ‘fake post’ going viral on social media wherein he criticised the army for retaining possession of Noor Mahal and some other properties of the family.

The post in Urdu claims that ex-MNA Salahuddin Abbasi has written a letter to the Bahawalpur corps commander that the army was in illegal possession of Nawab’s property, including the palace.

Abbasi’s spokesman Zarrar Ahmed Lashari shared a copy of the letter written to the FIA.

“Abbasi Sahib has sought a strict action against miscreants who uploaded the post,” Lashari said.

Meanwhile, Princess Zahra Abbasi, a daughter of late Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi, has also termed the post fake and said it was meant to defame the family.
