ISLAMABAD: Noor Mukadam’s father on Thursday challenged the bail granted to owner and workers of Therapyworks.

Noor’s father Shaukat Ali Mukadam in a petition filed before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought cancellation of the bail granted to the chief executive officer and five other employees of the clinic by Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Atta Rabbani.

ADSJ on Aug 23 granted bail to CEO of the clinic Tahir Zahoor and his five employees – Daleep Kumar, Amjad Mehmood, Sammar Abbas, Wamiq Javed and Abdul Haque - who went to the crime scene but did not inform police about the murder of Noor Mukadam.

In his petition, Mr Mukadam said that the officials of Therapyworks were present when the gruesome murder occurred. The ADSJ’s verdict was contradictory to the rules laid down by the Supreme Court when granting bail to accused persons.

The petition also alleged that the Therapyworks CEO and its other employees had been threatening the petitioner.

It added that the suspects concealed evidence and pleaded the court to nullify the sessions court’s orders and repeal the bail granted to the suspects.

IHC Justice Aamer Farooq will hear the petition on Friday (today).

It may be mentioned that ADSJ Rabbani, while granting bail to the suspects had observed that their role was not at par with the role of other co-accused in the murder case and since the police has concluded the investigation related to them, therefore, it was useless to keep them in judicial custody for an indefinite period.
