SUKKUR: The Larkana bench of the Sindh High Court on Wednesday granted bail for a sum of Rs50,000 each to 10 activists of Pakistan Peoples Party, who were accused in the case of June 29 attack on a raiding team of National Accountability Bureau’s Sukkur region.

PPP district information secretary Sajjad Ahmed Mastoi, Aijaz Jakhrani’s cousin Abdul Wali Jakhrani, PPP Hari Committee Larkana division president Deedar Ali Jakhrani, district PPP Youth Wing president Javed Brohi, Abid Brohi, Arsalan Fateh Lashari, Rafique Jakhrani and Asghar Jakhrani were showered with rose petals by scores of party supporters when they walked out of district jail in the wake of bail and escorted to Jakhrani House in Jacobabad.

PPP leader Meer Faheem Khan Jakhrani told reporters that the cases registered against PPP leaders and workers on NAB’s complaint were “fake”, hence the court freed them, exposing ulterior motives against PPP.
