ISLAMABAD: A labourer was killed and three others were injured when an under-construction building collapsed near the capital on Wednesday night, Dawn has learnt.

According to the police, the incident took place in the Thanda Pani area where the multi-storey is being built. The labourers were busy raising scaffolding on the second floor when the building caved in.

Some labourers were trapped under the debris, the police said, adding that shortly after getting information about the incident a rescue operation was undertaken.

The injured were shifted to hospital where one of them was pronounced dead, the police said. Three workers were stated to be in serious condition.
