Sindh has detected 1,209 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, down from 1,380 a day earlier, taking the province's tally of infections to 417,439.
According to a handout from the Chief Minister's Office, the death toll rose to 6,556 after 27 more people succumbed to the virus.
Meanwhile, 1,261 people recovered from Covid-19, it added.
