ISLAMABAD: The chief commissioner office has organised a three-day books exhibition at Quaid Public Library F-9 Park from Aug 13, with aim to highlight and acknowledge the sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers.
Director General Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration Syeda Shafaq Hashmi on Saturday visited the exhibition and vowed to continue such activities in libraries located in the city till the end of the month.
Director Technical Services Mohammad Arshad Sheikh welcomed all the participants to the exhibition on behalf of the libraries department and briefed them about the role and importance of the exhibition.
He said the exhibition would definitely spread awareness of Pakistan’s freedom struggle among youngsters.
Books on freedom movement, about freedom fighters’ struggle for the creation of Pakistan, ideology, political history and cultural heritage, beautiful valleys and localities are on display at the exhibition, he said.
The Pakistani nation is celebrating its Independence Day as it was achieved as a result of tireless struggles under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
