I like treating myself to nice drinks. Putting things together for one person doesn’t take long or lots of ingredients. And when these drinks are sweet and loaded with my favourite things, such as chocolate and Nutella, it is filling enough to beat all cravings!

So here is a very simple, yet delicious, drink that I put together since I had Nutella at home and wanted to make something out of it rather than using it just as a spread on some bread. I also used some icing cream for topping, which you can skip if you don’t have it or replace it with a scoop of ice cream in any flavour you like. Though I feel chocolate or coffee ice creams will really compliment this Nutella iced latte.

Ingredients

• 2/3 cup milk

• 2 teaspoons Nutella

• 1 teaspoon coffee

• 1 teaspoon sugar

• Ice cubes

• Fresh cream for topping

• Chocolate chips

Method

In a mug or glass that you will be serving/drinking in, put the milk, Nutella, coffee and sugar. Using only one attachment of an electric hand beater, mix the contents of the mug for a couple of minutes, until well-combined. You will not get a very frothy mixture as in the case of cold coffee, so don’t waste your energy mixing it for too long.

Now add ice cubes and then top with some whipped fresh cream. You can whip the cream with a bit of icing sugar to make it sweet, if that’s how you like it. I put the cream in an icing bag to top it up nicely in a swirl effect. Finally, garnish with some chocolate chips, or you can use chocolate shavings instead.

Note: The ingredients are for one serving of a mason jar mug that I have, you can adjust the measurements to the size of your glass.
