QUETTA, Nov 1: About a hundred children protested in front of the main gate of the Governor’s House on Tuesday demanding release of two men who were in the custody of the Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA).

The children, aged between three and nine, started their procession from a hunger-strike camp established on the premises of the city government. Holding placards they chanted slogans against the government and the FIA.

They held a sit-in outside the gate of the Governor’s House until an official of the governor’s secretariat came out and received a memorandum from them.

The protesters demanded in the memorandum that Ali Asghar Bungulzai and Saeedur Rehman Bungulzai who were in the custody of the FIA should be released or tried in a court of law to prove the charges against them.

Earlier, the protesters had attempted four times to assemble in front of the Governor’s House but the police foiled their attempts to do so.
