Azad Jammu and Kashmir has reported the highest daily rise in Covid-19 cases so far this year. Over the past 24 hours, 477 new infections have been detected in the region, taking the tally to 25,778.

The region also reported two coronavirus-related fatalities over the past 24 hours. The death toll from the disease now stands at 636.

Meanwhile, Islamabad reported 441 cases and one death. The total number of cases has increased to 89,117 while the death toll is 807.

Gilgit-Baltistan reported 82 cases and one death, taking the caseload to 8,473 and the death toll to 148.
