KARACHI: 100 beds for survivors

KARACHI, Oct 31: The Technical Committee of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) at its meeting, chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Masood Hameed Khan, decided to make 10 beds available to each of the 10 wards at the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for patients coming from various quake-hit areas.

The meeting was attended by MS of the hospital Dr Kaleem Butt, Prof Younus Soomro, Prof Mir Mohammad Dahri, Prof Naheed Sultan, Prof Manzar Saleem, Prof Mushtaq Qureshi, Prof Shafiqur Rehman and Prof Dost Mohammad Afridi.

It reviewed arrangements for the treatment of quake victims at the hospital.

The meeting decided that medicines, implants and other essentially required items would be made available at the hospital.—APP
