TOBA TEK SINGH: A nine-year-old boy was allegedly raped by a vagabond at Gojra’s Chak 369 JB on Friday.

The Gojra Saddar police said ‘H’ was playing in the street when a vagabond lured him to his home and raped him. They said locals rescued the boy when he raised hue and cry but the suspect made good his escape.

Police claimed that they later arrested the suspect.

ACCIDENT: A man died and his cousin was injured when they were overrun by a poultry van near motorway (M - 3 interchange) at Pirmahal on Friday.

Rescue 1122 reported that Abdul Rehman Sargana, along with his cousin Sultan Sargana, was on his way to Chak 333 GB on Pirmahal-Shorkot Cantonment Road when a van hit their motorcycle as a result of which both were seriously wounded.

They were taken to Pirmahal’s Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital where Abdul Rehman succumbed to his injuries while the injured person was stated to be critical.

SEALED: A sweet shop of Jhang city has been sealed for failing to pay Rs1 million fine.

According to the Jhang FBR deputy commissioner office, Khawaja Sweets and Bakers on Yousaf Shah Road was required to install point of sales software duly integrated for monitoring of reporting of sales with the FBR but it failed to comply with the instructions and was fined Rs1 million which it failed to deposit. The shop was eventually sealed.
