LAHORE: The Japan-based Pakistani judoka Shah Hussain Shah will compete in the 100kg weight category at 7.00pm on Thursday at the Olympics.

Shah, son of famous boxer Hussain Shah who earned a bronze medal in Seoul Olym­p­ics 1988, has been a national champion for the last four years. He won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and a gold medal each in South Asian Games in 2016 and 2019.

Meanwhile, weightlifter Talha Talib, who finished at fifth place in 67kgs competit­ion, returned to Lahore from Tokyo.
