Pakistan has reported 4,119 coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours. This is the first time the country has reported more than 4,000 infections since May 21, when 4,007 cases were recorded.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 52,291 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours while 44 deaths were reported.

The total number of cases has risen to 1,015,827 and the death toll is 23,133. The positivity rate was recorded as 7.8 per cent.

Breakdown of deaths and cases reported on July 27:

  • Sindh: 2,517 cases, 20 deaths
  • Punjab: 617 cases, 14 deaths
  • Islamabad: 279 cases
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 261 cases, 5 deaths
  • Balochistan: 180 cases
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 167 cases, 4 deaths
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 98 cases, 3 deaths
