ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has constituted a committee for integration of businesses and appointed Aneeq Khawar as its chairman.

A notification issued by the FBR here on Tuesday said the committee would work to rapidly increase tax revenues by adding new taxpayers via extensive and innovative use of technology.

It said Aneeq Khawar would report directly to Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin in his capacity as chairman of the Apex committee.

Mr Khawar would work closely and in collaboration with the members and key staff of the FBR and major stakeholders in the private sector, the notification added.
