MITHI: Inayatullah Rahimoon, the former two-time MPA from the Chachhro area of Tharparkar passed away on Sunday due to cardiac arrest. He was 84.
Inayatullah Rahimoon was twice elected as the member of Sindh Assembly on PS-56 during the general elections in 1993 and then again in 1997 from Chachhro.
He was also one of the chiefs of Rahimoon community in the desert district and very popular for his hospitality, lofty principles and political activities in the district.
The PPP chairman, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in his message condoled with the former Sindh minister and local PPP leader Dost Mohammad Rahimoon over the sad demise of his uncle.
The PPP chairman said that Inayatullah Rahimoon was the great asset to the party and with the death the PPP lost a seasoned politician from Tharparkar.
“His services both for the party and people of Tharparkar cannot be forgotten,” he added and expressed his grief over his death.
He prayed for the departed for his place in heavens.
PPP MNA Dr Mahesh Kumar Malani, MNA Ameer Ali Shah Jilani, MPAs including, Surender Valasai, Qasim Siraj Soomro, Fakeer Mohammad Bilalani, Haji Abdul Razzak Rahimoon, special adviser to CM, Dr Khatu Mal Jeewan, Veerji Kolhi and PPP leaders, including Nandlal Malhi, Shushil Malani, and other leaders of other political parties expressed their grief over the death.
The business activities in Chachhro town remained suspended to mourn the death.
His body was brought to his native village in Mehran Wero for the burial.
