DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Gunmen on Saturday shot dead a former peace committee member and his son near the Municipal Committee Bagh, a densely-populated area in Tank.

Police said the attackers riding a motorcycle opened fire, killing Malik Jan Khan and his son, Safeer Gul, on the spot. The deceased hailed from Kiri Latti village of Tank.

The Tank city police registered a case against two persons, identified as Ehsan and Alamzeb, on the complaint of Daulat Khan, a son of slain Malik Jan.

The police said there had been an old feud between the victims and the accused nominated in the case.

Separately, four people were killed in separate incidents in Dera Ismail Khan, police said on Saturday.

Armed men shot dead a man in Wanda Budh Khel area.

Nawab Shaheed police identified the victim as Rizwan.

In another incident, 75-year-old Allah Wasaya Arain was stabbed to death by an unidentified person in Babarpakka area.

Prova police registered a case against the unidentified accused.

Also, a man shot dead his wife and her alleged paramour for honor in Bhukki village.

A police official said they had registered a case on the report of a brother of the deceased man.
