Three brothers, wives booked in murder case

TOBA TEK SINGH: Three brothers and their wives allegedly strangled on Saturday their fourth brother’s wife over a property dispute in the C Plots locality of Pirmahal.

A first information report was registered on the complaint of Ikramullah, of Kamalia’s Chak 54/1-GB, Tukra, the brother of deceased Ruqayya Bibi, under sections 302, 148 and 149 of the PPC.

He said his 12-year-old nephew (his sister’s son) Zain informed him about the death of his mother. When the complainant arrived there where deceased Ruqayya’s husband Yasin and his three brothers reside, Zain apprised the complainant that his father was on job when after a quarrel with his mother, his uncles Abdul Qadir, Munir Ahmad and Naseer and their wives strangled her with a cloth.

The police have arrested the suspects.

ACCIDENT: A minor girl died and her parents and a van driver were injured as a result of a collision between a van and a motorcycle on Saturday at Gojra.

Rescue 1122 reported that Rafiq, of Tandlianwala, Faisalabad, was returning to his hometown after visiting his relatives along with his wife and daughter from Gojra when on Gojra-Jhang Road near Dhamman canal rest house, they collided with a van.

Rafique, his wife Shamim Akhtar and daughter Farah Parveen and van driver Ibrar Hussain were injured seriously. They were rushed to the Gojra Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where Farah succumbed to her wounds.
