KARACHI: Nine horses are in line for the Eid-ul-Azha Cup, which figures prominently in a four-race card drawn for the Gym­khana race meeting when it takes place at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

The Eid-ul-Azha Cup which is an annual feature has been classified under combined scale order I, II, III and IV and will go over six furlongs.

It is also the day’s feature event and fourth and last race of the day’s program.

A similar field of nine horses will face the starter in the third and supporting race under scale order V and VI to be run over four furlongs.

Ten horses apiece will make their presence felt in the first and second race of the day in lower scale orders VIII and VII respectively.

In all, 38 horses will vie for honours in day’s action barring last-minute withdrawal(s).

The first race starts at 3.30pm.
