The Covid-19 positivity rate in Pakistan has increased to 6.3 per cent, with the detection of 2,158 new cases against 34,216 tests conducted over the past 24 hours.

Following the detection of the new cases, the national Covid-19 tally has risen to 998,609.

Meanwhile, 40 more coronavirus-related deaths have lifted the disease's death toll in the country to 22,928.

• Sindh: 1,336 cases, 28 deaths
• Punjab: 247 cases, 6 deaths
• Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 199 cases, 1 death
• Islamabad: 151 cases
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 150 cases, 5 deaths
• Balochistan: 59 cases
• Gilgit-Baltistan: 16 cases
