ISLAMABAD: The Machinery Pool Organisation (MPO) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has repaired and overhauled two dysfunctional water tankers and them to the fleet.

“As a pilot project we got two water tankers and a coach repaired and overhauled from the MPO through our own resources,” CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed said.

He said the MPO had been asked to overhaul other dysfunctional and parked vehicles of the civic authority, adding that “this directorate has many good mechanics and technical persons but in the past, its services were not utilised. Instead focus was paid to private workshops to get CDA vehicles overhauled,” he said, adding that it had been decided that this directorate would be further strengthened.

“The overhauled tankers have been added to the fleet of water supply tankers while the bus will be used for pick and drop of staff,” the chairman said.
