TAXILA: A man’s body was found from the Margalla hills near Gango Jumma area in the limits of Taxila Police station, police said on Tuesday.

The Punjab forensic lab officials collected the evidence and submitted the DNA to Lahore forensic lab for identification. An official told Dawn that samples from the body would be sent to Lahore to establish the cause of death.

Motorcyclist killed

A speeding dumper killed a motorcyclist on under construction China Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC) road near Fatehjang. Police and rescue sources said 20-year-old Umer Yaqoob was going on his motorcycle when a dumper hit him killing him on the spot. The driver managed to flee from the scene.

Later Rescue 1122 shifted his body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

House looted

A five member gang of armed robbers looted a house in Lalarukh area in limits of Wah Cantonment police station.

According to police, the gang entered the house located in Madni street by scaling the wall and took all the family members at gunpoint.

Later they collected gold ornaments, cash, cell phones and other valuables worth Rs800,000.
