New South Wales (NSW), Australia's most populous state, has reported 98 new locally acquired cases of Covid-19, down from 105 a day earlier, reports Reuters.
Meanwhile, NSW state capital Sydney has entered its fourth week of a lockdown to contain an outbreak of the Delta variant.
Of the new cases, 20 spent time in the community while infectious, state Premier Gladys Berejiklian told reporters in Sydney.
