Student loses life while catching bus

HAFIZABAD, Oct 29: A first-year student lost his life while trying to catch a bus on Saturday. According to reports, Tanveer Ahmad, a student of the Government Degree College for Boys, was run over and killed by a speeding coach he was trying to catch near Tadke village.

The news of the student’s death spread like a jungle fire and within minutes hundreds of students of the institution took out a procession.

District Nazim Chaudhry Mubashar Abbas Bhatti and DCO Syed Iftikhar Husain Shah hurried to the troubled spot.

Later, the police arrested the driver and registered a case against them.
