Ashraf Ali guides SSGC into semis

KARACHI, Oct 28: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) stormed into the final of the 20th Karachi Gymkhana Ramazan Festival cricket when they beat Customs CC by 29 runs in the semifinals played at KG Ground on Friday.

Opener Ashraf Ali played a key role in SSGC’s success as he stroked a hurricane 82 with eleven hits to the fence off 52 deliveries.

His innings enabled SSGC to score 182 for six wickets.

Customs CC were never in the hunt and were bowled out for 153 in 22 overs. Only opener Javed Qadeer (64) showed defiance.

He struck five fours and two sixes scored off 44 balls.
