Sindh has reported 1,075 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, marking the first time the province detected more than a 1,000 daily infections since June 2 when it recorded 1,041.

The province's coronavirus tally has risen to 343,303.

A statement issued by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah's office said that 16 more people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 5,552.

It further said that 505 people recovered from Covid-19 while 17,959 tests were conducted.
