THE new cricket sensation, Shahnawaz Dahani, is an inspiration for many as he has proved that hard work does pay off. The young sportsman belongs to an underprivileged area of Larkana in the interior of Sindh and has become a rising star in Pakistan cricket with his superb bowling skills and a string of outstanding result-oriented performances.

His journey of self-transformation was based entirely on hard work with a single-minded pursuit of excellence in his career of choice. This is beyond cricket. His story is a motivation for the rest of the youth striving in their careers, especially those hailing from humble backgrounds in rural areas.

Once a young boy struggling to buy a pair of sports shoes for appearing in trials, Dahani made it to the Pakistan Super League earlier this year and grabbed a place in one of the franchises. He quickly rose to fame by taking the highest number of wickets and proving himself to be the best bowler in the tournament.

Great success comes to those who work hard and do not stop despite lack of facilities. They overcome all the obstacles that come in their way and continue their struggle by keeping true to themselves and to their goal. When the hard work starts to pay off, all the fatigue goes away in an instant.

Everybody faces problems in life, but people who take them as challenges, do not complain or cry over them. Instead, they work hard, make things happen and achieve their targets.

Those who are true to their purpose and possess strong willpower and self-confidence go a long way and make a name for themselves.

They always keep striving with a positive attitude towards life. They are the people who are in charge of their lives. They take the bull by the horns. They think, they change, and they grow just like Shahnawaz Dahani has done!
