KARACHI, Oct 28: Telenor Pakistan says it is now operational in more than 100 cities and highways across Pakistan as a result of its network expansion in the industry.

The announcement was made as Telenor shared its third quarter results with the media at its headquarters on Thursday.

Telenor ASA’s financial results were also declared. Compared to the third quarter of 2004, the group’s revenues in the third quarter of 2005 increased by 13 per cent, reaching 17.6 billion Norwegian krone, and the number of subscribers increased by 65 per cent to 74.5 million, says a press release.

Telenor Pakistan’s CEO Tore Johnson said the cities covered by the network included Abbotabad, Chiniot, Lahore, Daska, Mardan, Gujar Khan, Multan, Gujranwala, Nowshera, Gujrat, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jehlum, Jhang, Karachi, Sialkot, Sukkur, Kasur, Wazirabad and Muzaffarabad and an array of smaller cities. Telenor Pakistan plans to reach more than 200 destinations by the end of the year.
