Pakistan's single-day Covid-19 tally has crossed the 1,000 mark after a gap of six days. During the last 24 hours, 1,037 cases were reported after 46,145 tests were conducted.

This constitutes a positivity rate of 2.2 per cent.

The country's infection tally now stands at 958,408. Meanwhile, 40 more coronavirus-related fatalities have lifted the death toll to 22,321.

The breakdown of Covid-19 cases and deaths reported during the last 24 hours is as follows:

  • Sindh: 622 cases, 24 deaths
  • Punjab: 121 cases, 8 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 117 cases, 4 deaths
  • Balochistan: 33 cases, 1 death
  • Islamabad: 54 cases, 2 deaths
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 50 cases, 1 death
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 40 cases
