CHAGAI: Armed robbers looted Rs50.3 million from National Bank of Pakistan’s (NBP) Nokundi area branch in Chagai district on Tuesday.

Sources said the cash in-charge of the Taftan branch of NBP, Iqbal Baloch, along with a Levies Force sepoy Naimat Ullah, was carrying cash in his vehicle which was intercepted by the robbers dressed in security forces’ uniform on the RCD High­way in Satt Landhi area.

“The robbers shot in the leg of the Levies Force sepoy, while the cash in-charge was beaten when he offered resistance. The injured were taken to hospital in Dalbandin where they were given medical treatment,” an NBP officer told Dawn.
