NORTH WAZIRISTAN: A clash between the security forces and militants left a soldier martyred and two terrorists killed in North Waziristan tribal district here on Sunday, officials said.

The clash occurred in Spinwam area.

The officials said that the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the area following reports about the presence of terrorists there.

They said during the operation an exchange of fire took place between the forces’ personnel and the militants, in which Naik Nizakat embraced martyrdom.

The security forces also killed two terrorists, who were identified as Said Amin Shairatala and Chinyaar Titimadakhel.

The officials said that the security forces also seized weapons from the spot.

They said that the killed terrorists were wanted for carrying out IED attacks on the security forces and kidnapping civilians and government officials.
