KARACHI, Oct 26: An Edhi Foundation statement has quoted Faisal Edhi as saying that the situation in and around Chinari and Neelum Valley is worsening day by day as relief aid has not yet reached these areas.

“People are bringing injured people on their shoulders after travelling 15-20 kilometres from far flung areas,” said Faisal Edhi who is engaged in relief work in quake devastated areas.

He informed the Karachi office of the Foundation by satellite phone on Wednesday that he had reached Chinari with 35 truckloads of relief goods including tents, food and blankets. He said that more aid was urgently required for the quake survivors as winter was approaching fast.
