LAHORE: Former PPP MPA Abdul Rasheed Bhatti is scheduled to announce his joining the PTI in a meeting with party Senator and parliamentary leader in Senate Ejaz Chaudhry at a workers convention here on Saturday (today).

Mr Bhatti had won PP-161 (Lahore) on PPP ticket in 2002 elections. He joined the PTI and actively contested the intra-party election ahead of 2008 general elections.

Later, he left the party after some difference over the intra-party election.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar held a meeting with Governor Chaudhry Sarwar at Governor House on Friday and discussed different issues.

They reportedly expressed satisfaction over the decreasing the ratio of corona cases and urged the citizens to continue following the SOPs. They decided that to take steps for overcoming the shortage of coronavirus vaccine.
