Pakistan has reported less than 1,000 coronavirus cases for the first time since February 15, when the country reported 958 infections.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 838 coronavirus cases were reported during the last 24 hours after 35,039 tests were conducted. In addition, 59 fatalities were also recorded.

The positivity rate was recorded as 2.39 per cent.

Breakdown of deaths and cases reported:

  • Sindh: 479 cases, 13 deaths
  • Punjab: 131 cases, 32 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 131 cases, 10 deaths
  • Balochistan: 43 cases
  • Islamabad: 31 cases, 1 death
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 15 cases
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 8 cases, 3 deaths
