Hasan Ali to miss remainder of PSL for family reasons

Islamabad United fast bowler Hasan Ali will miss the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) because of family commitments.

“I want to say to all Islamabad United fans, unfortunately, due to personal reasons I have to pull out of the remaining PSL matches,” Hasan was quoted as saying in United’s statement.

“Some things are more important than cricket and nothing is more important than family. I am thankful to Islamabad United for their support and understanding. This team truly is a family that stands with you through thick and thin. I wish the team very best of luck for the remaining PSL matches.”

Hasan has been the key bowler for United this season, grabbing 10 wickets in six games at an impressive average of 14.

United captain Shadab Khan said absence of Hasan will be a huge loss, but the franchise understood the fast bowler’s “situation right now”.

“He will obviously be a huge loss to our team and the tournament, but some things are more important than cricket. At Islamabad United, we have always looked after each other like a family and we will continue to do so,” Shadab said.

Huge array of bowlers on show. Irfan taking 3 yesterday, Imran Khan 3 the other day. Musa taking 2 also. Which makes you think, what was the fascination behind a fixer who can't even take a wicket of a tail ender.

Seems like a lame excuse. Unless there is a death of a family member or some corona thingy, no other reason should prevent him from doing his bit.

Does he share the serious family issue as to leave the tournament.once they have cricket there life as all professional do sacrifices but some time they are delivering lecture on family love but one if one knows his personality one says immature .

@Harris, he might have fluked it in a high scoring Chase but mate those three guys would take a third rate bowler like him to the cleaners every day of the week. Plenty of other class bowlers around.
