DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Rivals killed two brothers and injured three others over a women dispute in Amakhel area of Tank district on Saturday.

An official at the Mulazai police station said the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Tank.

He said the deceased were identified as Hassan Khan and his brother Miraj. The deceased and the injured belong to the same family.

Locals said due to lack of ambulances and medical facilities at the Type-D Hospital, Amakhel, the injured had to be shifted to the district headquarters hospital, which also lacked the required facilities.

The families of the victims protested at the DHQ hospital over lack of facilities there.

Later, the injured were referred to a Dera Ismail Khan hospital.

The police registered a case against the accused and started further investigations.

In another incident, a 70-year-old man died of a heart attack in Dera Ismail Khan due to extreme heat.

Rescue emergency officer Fazal Manan said he was informed that body of a man was lying on the Aarra Bypass Road. He said a team immediately shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital, Dera.

According to rescue sources, the senior citizen has been identified as Inayatullah, a resident of Muriali. The body was handed over to relatives after postmortem.
