KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation on Friday started trimming trees on various roads and streets across the city.

The horticulture department of the city’s municipal administration was assigned the task by Administrator Karachi Laeeq Ahmed.

He directed the officials concerned that the branches of the trees should be trimmed so that they would not obstruct traffic.

In this regard, the staff of parks and horticulture department is working at Sharea Faisal, Kidney Hill Park, Aziz Bhatti Park, Shaheed-i-Millat Road, University Road and other spots. Civil society and various welfare organiza­tions including Faizan Global Relief Foundation, NED University of Engineering and Technology and Rotary International are also assisting KMC in this regard.
