RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) candidate for Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly from Rawalakot Sardar Sagheer Chaughtai and two other persons traveling with him are missing after the car they were traveling in plunged into the river after colliding with another car in Kahuta on Friday.

According to the Kahuta police, Sardar Chughtai along with two other persons was on his way to Rawalpindi when his vehicle collided with another car coming from the opposite side.

As a result, Mr Chughtai’s car fell into the river and went missing while Javaid Ahmed and his son Zeeshan traveling in the other car were injured. Later, Javaid Ahmed died of the injuries while his injured son was shifted to hospital.

The body of Javaid Ahmed, a resident of Adiala Road, was handed over to his family. Divers were searching for the three persons.
