TAXILA: Police claimed to have arrested two suspects and recovered a huge quantity of explosive material from their possession during a raid in Wah Saddar on Friday.
Subdivisional Police Officer (SDPO) Tahir Kazmi told newsmen that acting on a tip off a police team headed by station house officer Saddar Wah intercepted a car and recovered 50 kg explosive, 25 rolls of safety fuse wire and 2,500 detonators. The police arrested two suspects identified as Rehman Wali and Ashraf Khan.
He said a case under section 4/5 of the explosive act and section 7 of anti-terrorism act (ATA) had been registered against the suspects.
