A meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), with Planning Minister Asad Umar in the chair, has expressed satisfaction on the overall Covid-19 situation in the country.

The forum was informed of the current situation and the following measures taken so far:

  • As many as 0.45 million teachers out of a total 2m have been vaccinated
  • Airports across the country have the capacity of carrying out 6,000 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) daily
  • A comprehensive mechanism has deployed at airports which helped detect 388 Covid positive patients upon landing in Pakistan
  • All Nadra centres have started issuing vaccination certificates from June 5, while around 5,000+ e-sahulat branches will also start issuing certificates from next week.
