ISLAMABAD, Oct 24: Islamabad, after being forced to follow on, were holding on in the second innings against Karachi Harbour in their Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League match at the Diamond Cricket Ground on Monday.

Dismissed for 217 after resuming their first innings at the overnight score of 156-8, Islamabad batted through the third day to be 244-3 at close to take a slender lead of 54 runs.

A patient batting display by Bilal Asad (86) and Sufyan Munir (61), the pair having added 148 for the unbroken fourth-wicket stand, was the highlight of the day as Islamabad made amends for a poor first innings.
