HYDERABAD, Oct 24: A woman from the Allah Bachayo Chhalgri village observed a token hunger strike here on Monday in protest against what she called atrocities of her husband.

Ms Gori’s father, brothers Imtiaz Ali and Saddam and sisters Gulnaz and Subhana also took part in the protest.

She told reporters that she was married to Latif Dino two years back.

Her brother Imtiaz Ali was married to Latif’s sister Reshman.

She said that after some time her husband started gambling and using narcotics.

She alleged that her husband used to bring strangers home and asked her to indulge in illicit relations with them.

Ms Gori said she informed her parents about the matter.

This, she added, infuriated her husband and he expelled her from the home and threatened to kill her.

She said she had also filed an application to police.

She demanded police protestion.—PPI
